About Us

KJHS is currently run on a voluntary basis by a small number of highly committed individuals who share a passion for the practical aspects of UK maritime history and a belief that crewing on a big ship is arguably the greatest team ‘game’ of them all

Our current membership boasts skippers, mates, cooks, engineers, fundraisers, riggers carpenters, electricians and administrators.  We are always looking for willing hands to make light work and will make use of whatever skills you have to offer.

Our vision

to see old ships operating

Our vision is to see  Kenya Jacaranda, undertaking a broad range of community-centred activities supported by a network of individuals, Companies, Organisations, maritime professionals and enthusiastic volunteers who share our passion for maritime history.
