GET INVOLVED

As with any new venture, KJHS is  looking to further enrich its supporter network and management structure with people who would like to be actively support the restoration project.

Become a Friend or Supporter
By becoming a friend or supporter of KJ, you will be:

• kept up to date with the latest restoration;
• notified of opportunities for volunteering and active involvement;
• invited to take part in social and fundraising events;
• given the right to vote on matters of organisational importance and at AGMs.
  

Volunteer
There are plenty of volunteering opportunities for anyone who has a keen interest in supporting KJ's restoration.   These include on-board activities relating to the physical work on KJ such as painting, carpentry, rigging, engineering, electrics and gas systems. 

Opportunities exist for shore-based support activities include administration, fundraising, outreach and development, archive development, website management, event management and PR.
 
All volunteers, regardless of whether their activities are on-board or shore-based, must be registered as Friends of the KJ Project in order to benefit from the sea miles and points for work schemes. 

Group and Club Affiliation
In order for KJ to fulfil her charitable remit as an accessible community resource, we are looking for Thames and Medway based groups and clubs who would be interested in supporting KJ during her restoration in order to take advantage of the future sailing opportunities presented by such a great old ship.  Please contact Ian Foreman (details on contact page) to discuss or fill in the Friends and Supporters form attached below. 

Company Affiliation
If you are from a Company which shares our values and is interested in supporting KJ's community and charitable projects, we will be delighted to hear from you.  In return we can offer some highly original publicity for your Company and, in the future, a venue for corporate hospitality or team building events.
